I figured by now I’d be full swing, but I’m having trouble spending money.
One of the requirements for this is to complete random acts of kindness. Yesterday, I was at Wal-Mart and the lady behind me had a New York Cheesecake and nothing else. When it was my turn to check out I offered to buy her New York Cheesecake. She declined and said she’ll pay for her own stuff. I had to explain to her that we make the world better by doing random acts of kindness and this is that. She still declined.
I left and when I got to thinking about it, I nearly got myself to tears. I’m tearing up a little now. What is so wrong with the world that I can’t even spread good ? The lady was clearly having a bad day, I wanted to cheer her up.
